Welcome to AMK BIZ ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and your business data. This Privacy Policy explains how AMK BIZ collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our offline-first Kirana & Supermarket Point of Sale (POS) software, mobile app, and web portal.

1. Offline-First Data Architecture

AMK BIZ is designed with an offline-first architecture. All your day-to-day transaction records, product inventories, billing history, khata ledger entries, and daily expense records are stored locally on your device in secure IndexedDB local storage. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync or perform an authorized cloud backup.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register for cloud backup or license activation, we collect your store owner email address and store name.
Cloud Backup Data: If Cloud Sync is enabled, store databases (products, sales bills, customer khata) are backed up to Google Firebase Realtime Database, which encrypts data in transit and at rest.
Device & Diagnostics: Basic device telemetry (browser type, OS, app version) is used strictly to diagnose crashes and maintain service reliability.
Payment & Subscription Information: When purchasing or renewing a subscription, payments are processed directly and securely by certified payment gateways (Razorpay, Google Pay). We do not store or process credit/debit card numbers or bank credentials on our servers.

3. Permissions Used

Camera: Used exclusively when you tap the "Scan Barcode" or "QR Scan" button to scan product barcodes and invoice QR codes. No photos are saved or uploaded.
Internet & Network Access: Used for optional cloud database sync, license validity checks, and payment processing.
Microphone (Optional): Used exclusively when you choose to use the AI Voice Billing feature to add items by voice command. Audio is processed transiently and never recorded or stored.
Storage / Downloads: Used when you export Excel/CSV reports, PDF invoices, thermal print receipts, or database backups.

4. Data Sharing & Security

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal or store transaction data with third parties. All communications with cloud servers use modern TLS/HTTPS encryption. Our Cloud Functions verify all administrative and payment operations securely.

5. Data Deletion & User Rights

You can delete all local data at any time from Settings > Purge Inventory / Reset Data. To request permanent deletion of your cloud-backed account and license records, please email us at support@amkbiz.com or use the in-app WhatsApp support link.

6. Data Retention & India DPDP Act Compliance

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, AMK BIZ adheres to strict data minimization principles:

Local Store Data: Retained on your device under your complete control until you clear browser storage or purge data.
Cloud Sync Data: Retained on secure Firebase infrastructure only for the duration of your active subscription and deleted within 90 days following formal account termination requests.
